EADS North America has announced that Rachelle G. Schroeder has joined the company as Director of Government Relations. In this newly established position, Ms. Schroeder will report to the Vice President of Government Relations on legislative and government activities in the United States. Ms. Schroeder will be located in the Washington D.C. headquarters of EADS North America.

Since 1989, Ms. Schroeder has been involved in political and legislative affairs, serving in several positions in the U.S. Congress, U.S. Department of Energy, and Mississippi local government. Most recently, she served as a professional staff member for the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Homeland Security. As a Professional Staff member, Ms. Schroeder managed the Emergency Preparedness and Response Directorate and the United States Coast Guard accounts within the appropriations bill and was called upon for recommendations on the needs of the agencies within the Department of Homeland Security. Before becoming a Professional Staff member, Ms. Schroeder was the Staff Assistant for Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. In 1997, she served as Legislative Assistant to Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS). Previously, Ms. Schroeder also worked for Kemper Consulting, Inc. as the Government Relations Assistant working with issues of the Virginia State Legislature.
Rachelle Schroeder is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Policy and Administration degrees in 1994 and 1996 respectively. Ms. Schroeder currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Senate Employee Child Care Center in Washington and is a member of the Patriot Republican Women’s Organization in Virginia and the Women in Government Relations Leader Foundation in Washington, DC.
