EADS North America Endowment creates scholarship for the Army Aviation Association of America

Nashville, Tennessee, April 11, 2006

EADS North America today made a $35,000 contribution for the creation of an annual educational scholarship to be administered by the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Scholarship Foundation.

The EADS North America Distinguished Scholar Endowment will support worthy candidates selected by the AAAA Scholarship Foundation who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in aerospace or related technical fields. Eligible candidates include AAAA members and their immediate family members. The company’s donation will be matched by a commitment of up to $15,000 from the AAAA Scholarship Foundation.

“We are pleased to establish this endowment, which expands the resources and capability of the AAAA Scholarship Foundation to support the educational pursuits of deserving students for years to come. EADS North America is proud to contribute to the academic growth of promising future Army and national leaders,” said EADS North America Chairman and CEO Ralph D. Crosby, Jr.

EADS North America’s contribution to establish the endowment was presented by David R. Oliver, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of EADS North America, during today’s annual meeting and luncheon at the AAAA’s 2006 convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

The AAAA represents the U.S. Army Aviation community’s interests, serving as a forum for aviators to exchange ideas and share experiences, and fosters the professional development of its members through programs at both the chapter and national level.
