Companies Showcase Lab-Validated Interoperability
EADS Defence & Security and EXACOM are jointly demonstrating open standards-based interoperability between EXACOM P25 Logging Recorder solution and a P25-based EADS Secure Networks North America (EADS) public safety radio network at this week’s APCO 2008 Conference.
The solution is achieved using a direct IP connection between the Hindsight-NetTM P25 Multi-Media Logging Recorder by EXACOM and EADS‘ CORP25™ v2.03 public safety radio network.
Prior to APCO, the companies tested and validated the interoperability of the EXACOM Logger/Recorder on the EADS public safety radio network at EADS’ Frisco, TX Interoperability Lab.
“For interoperability to become the de facto operating mode in Public Safety, it is essential that we continue demonstrating turnkey solutions from multiple manufacturers at the network, system, application, and hardware levels,” said Sunny Taylor, President, EADS Secure Networks North America. “We are pleased with the lab test outcomes and embrace EXACOM’s solution for clients seeking this component in an open-standards based system.”
“We’re delighted with the successful results of this interoperability demonstration with EADS,” said Helmut Koch, President, EXACOM. “This lab validation provides tangible proof of the depth and breadth of interoperability that is now available to the public safety marketplace.”
As a world leading provider of mission critical networks and a driving force behind the industry’s open standards, EADS continues to test and validate manufacturers of P25 solutions on its CORP25 networks.
EXACOM has committed to integrate future TIA standards with EADS as soon as they become available.
