Steve Shanck named Executive Vice President-General Manager of EADS Secure Networks North America, a division of PlantCML®

Temecula, California, March 17, 2009

PlantCML® today announced the appointment of Steve Shanck as Executive Vice President-General Manager of its Professional Mobile Radio Systems (PMR) division.

PMR’s CORP25 solution is a turnkey P25 radio system for local, countywide, statewide and federal radio networks. The solution leverages the power of IP and the P25 standard to provide interoperability and an open standards-based platform for a comprehensive offering.

In his role as Executive Vice President-General Manager, Shanck, a globally experienced general manager, sales and business development executive, will oversee all operational aspects. Among Shanck’s numerous responsibilities are the development, review, and implementation of strategic business initiatives, including sales, new product development and focus on processes promoting operational excellence and ultimately customer satisfaction. Shanck will also expand and foster the company’s channel relationships and manage compliance with state and federal agencies.

In previous roles, Shanck served as Vice President and General Manager for General Dynamics Information Technology. During his four-year tenure, he led the company’s Business Development team for wireless systems as well as the International division. Prior to joining General Dynamics, Shanck was Vice President and General Manager for Asia/Pacific Business Development for Motorola, Inc. He also served in various other capacities inside Motorola, including Vice President and General Manager of Global Telecom Solutions Sector, Vice President and General Manager, Nippon Motorola Ltd., Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Sector (CGISS) and Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Western Division, CGISS. Shanck holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Florida.

“We are also pleased to announce that Sunny Taylor will assume the role of Vice President, Federal Government Solutions and Strategic Projects at PlantCML,” added Rutan. In this position, Taylor is responsible for leveraging the extensive capabilities and growth of the company’s portfolio in support of Homeland Security, Federal and Department of Defense security and communications requirements. She brings over two decades of communications experience and management capabilities to her new executive role and is based in our Arlington, Virginia office.
