EADS North America names new business development director for National Guard and Reserves
Arlington, Virginia, April 28, 2009
EADS North America has appointed retired Army Col. Ted Mickevicius as director of business development for reserve component forces. He will lead initiatives to extend EADS North America’s business efforts in support of the United States’ critically important National Guard and Reserve forces.
“Ted Mickevicius has spent his career, both in and out of uniform, working to support the needs of our reserve component warfighters,” said David Oliver, EADS North America chief operations officer. “He understands their operational requirements and will play a key role in our efforts to meet and exceed them.”
Col. Mickevicius began his military career in 1984 as an Army Aviator and served in various command and staff assignments within the Army National Guard. In 1998, he became legislative liaison for the National Guard Bureau, representing the Army Guard’s interests to Congress on all legislative matters. In 1999, he turned his talents to a position as legislative liaison for the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. In 2002, he returned to serving the legislative interests of the National Guard Bureau, culminating in his 2004 selection as director of the Office of Legislative Liaison.
In 2006, Col. Mickevicius retired from the Army National Guard and became president of District Catalyst, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation management from Eastern Michigan University, a Master of Science degree from National Louis University, and Federal Aviation Administration commercial helicopter ratings. His office is located in the Arlington, Va., headquarters of EADS North America.
