EADS Socata North America, Inc.

Florida-based EADS Socata North America, Inc. is the sales and support headquarters for EADS Socata corporate and general aviation aircraft in America. Its responsibilities include sales, marketing, maintenance, spare parts distribution, and technical/customer support for the entire EADS Socata product line operating in America.

The North American region is a key market for the company’s TBM 700 and TBM 850 single-engine, very fast business turboprop aircraft. The TBM 700 turboprop aircraft entered service in 1990, and has been used in passenger and cargo service by corporations and private owners/pilots throughout the United States. Its successor, the TBM 850, was launched in 2005 to provide the advantage of cruise speeds typical of light jets with the economical direct operating costs of a single-engine turboprop. U.S. customers accounted for more than 70 percent of total bookings through early 2008.
