EADS North America is the U.S. holding company for the North American activities of EADS, the world’s second largest aerospace and defense company.

As a leading supplier and industrial partner in defense and homeland security, commercial aviation, helicopters and services, EADS North America is proud to be a valued corporate citizen of the United States. Operating in 32 cities and 17 states, EADS North America offers a broad array of advanced solutions to its customers in the commercial, homeland security, aerospace and defense markets.

The business units of EADS North America are:

American Eurocopter, LLC: This leading provider of helicopters in the U.S. for commercial, police enforcement, homeland defense and other operators has locations in Grand Prairie, Texas and Columbus, Mississippi. Today, nearly 400 customers operate some 1,300 Eurocopter rotary-wing aircraft in the U.S.

EADS CASA North America: EADS CASA North America markets and supports the C-212, CN-235 and C-295 turboprop transport aircraft. Support operations for EADS CASA North America – including training and spares – currently is located at Mobile, Alabama, where the U.S. Coast Guard is to phase-in the HC-144A as a maritime patrol aircraft for the Integrated Deepwater System (IDS) program

EADS North America Test and Services: This major provider of automatic test solutions and service excellence is present in both the military and civil aerospace automatic test marketplaces. Headquartered in Irvine, California, this company works with core customers to define test requirements and deliver support solutions by providing test and services general purpose ATE products, designing and building unique ATE, enhancing and integrating software offerings, and establishing nationwide OEM and military test engineering services.

EADS Secure Networks North America: As part of EADS Secure Networks – the second largest provider of public safety radio communications worldwide – this company is a systems provider of mission critical, interoperable communications solutions committed to the North American market.

EADS North America Defense Security and Systems Solutions: As a global Information Assurance (IA) leader, the company provides computer and network security solutions and services to government agencies and commercial organizations worldwide. Its capabilities include technology security support services, consulting, development, simulation and design.

EADS Supply and Services: This North American purchasing group for EADS acquires hardware and systems through supplier distribution networks and identifies new supply sources. Headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, it has a warehouse at Sterling, Virginia near Dulles International Airport with critical hardware for rapid supply to aircraft operators.

Fairchild Controls Corporation: Air turbine drives and environmental controls are produced by Frederick, Maryland-based Fairchild Controls Corporation for military and commercial applications. Its cooling systems are used on externally mounted aircraft pods that carry targeting, navigation, reconnaissance, and electronic countermeasure systems.

EADS Socata North America, Inc.: The Socata product line of general aviation aircraft is marketed and supported in North America by Pembroke Pines, Florida-based Socata Aircraft. This is a growing market for the TBM 700/TBM 850 family of turboprop aircraft, which is used in passenger and cargo service by both corporations and private owners/pilots.

PlantCML: Acquired by EADS North America in April 2008, PlantCML provides call management and radio dispatch products for emergency call centers, along with emergency notification services, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) applications and mapping services. It has the largest installed base of public safety answering points in the U.S.   

TYX Corporation: A world leader in automatic test equipment software and programming tools, Reston, Virginia-based TYX builds the Professional ATLAS Work Station for use in systems worldwide, while its TestBase product supports test programming in virtually all of the existing testing environments and has extensive database capabilities.
